"Lily's Language Adventure||Conquering Fear and Finding Confidence"
Many centuries ago in a small village which was sandwiched between green hills and dense forest, there lived a girl called Lily. Lily had dreamed of visiting the world beyond her town, but there was one thing that she could not overcome and that was the fear of speaking in English.
Every day, Lily watched as people who were not from the village kept passing through. She heard some of the sounds of languages she could not understand as they went by. She missed them so much, wished to be with them so as to communicate with people from foreign countries, but her confidence never produced the language correctly whenever she tried speaking English.
One of the days though, a traveler came to the village. His name was Mr. Emerson, he was the master of the tales of the doom and the wisdom. With quiet steps, Lily moved closer to him thinking he might be able to conquer her fear.
Mr. Emerson smiled at her kindly and said, "Dear, the process of learning a new language is like taking off on a grand adventure. You may stumble and trip along the way, but every mistake you make is like a step towards mastering the language."
He said something which boosted her confidence and she started to pursue English every day. She listened to English music, read English books, wrote her own stories, too, all in English. The longer she stayed there, the more she built up her confidence, and, finally, she was catching a chance to talk to the passers-by.
An unfortunate even came upon the tourists one day while they were strolling in the countryside. On the other hand, Lily's newly-developed linguistic capabilities led them to home safely. The visitors, totally fascinated by her kindness and English speaking luxury, remained embedded in her words.
Ever since that day Lily became to be referred to as one of the village English ambassadors. She was always gracious and welcoming putting on a charming smile and said "Hello" warmly as the travelers pass by, her village was like the center for cultural exchange
With tenacity and perseverance, Lily proved that in spite of a fear in a particular situation, regular practice will later on reward the person with a courageous behavior. Then, as she gazed upon the village beyond, she could see her English adventure was just the first of a long series of adventures that awaited.
Moral:The underlying theme of the story of Lily is that tenacity and determination are all-important for achieving the set goals. In spite of her being afraid of speaking English often she did not let it keep her back. She decided not to take big leaps of improvement of her language skills but rather made small steps on a daily basis until she became proficient. Her way inspires us that if we have the passion and determination, we will definitely triumph
